Chup raho Quick recap.

Sigh! Where do I start with this? I no longer have the will to go through with watching this drama every week. If you haven't watched a single episode of this drama, consider yourself lucky. The initial concept was so different, thought provoking, one couldn't help but get dragged into watching it. Since around episode 10 the story had just been dragged unnecessarily.
Quick recap before I start dealing with each episode. We have a typical middle class family, mum, dad and daughter, traveling from pindi to Karachi to get their younger daughter Rameen married to their older daughter Manaal's husband's cousin Azar. Manaal is a complete ditz who can't see beyond her husband Numair. Numair is a creepy idiot, who decides he's got the hots for his wife's sister and must "deflower" her at any cost. Yada yada yada. Dad finds out about Numair's nefarious plans and wants to save his daughter. Numair causes dad to have a heart attack and die. Two episodes later he Rapes Rameen. Enter world's most useless mother, who after finding Rameen in her distressed state, tells her to keep quiet about being raped, just so her sister's married life is not affected.
Hello aunty ji. You're trying to save your daughter's marriage to a rapist? Kya logic hai.

They break off Rameen's engagement and return to Pindi. Love sick puppy boy Azar follows Rameen and proceeds to plead and promising to love Rameen no matter what bla bla bla. Again mummy the great convinces her mentally fragile daughter to marry her Rapist's cousin

Sadqe jaoon apki mamta pe aunty.
Numair the master manipulator manages to send mummy ji back to pindi (thank God for that, she's useless) Then he convinces Azar to quit his job, join Numairs firm and move into his house with Rameen. *facepalm
Azar and Manal are blind fools who can't see the way Rameen is uncomfortable around Numair. Numair leaves no opportunity to creep out Rameen. And Rameen just calls her useless mother on the phone for moral support.

Until one day she snaps and blurts out in front of Azar and Manaal that Numair raped her. Hallelujah! Finally some progress.Right? am i right?! Nope!
Thankfully mummy ji takes my advice, has a stroke and dies after two episodes.

Azar the idiotic husband overhears part of a conversation between Numair and Rameen. His pea sized brain decides that rameen is having an affair with Numair and goes into domestic violence mode. This guy has just two gears a) oh em gee I love you so much rameen I can't live without you, I'd rather die, or b) Oh my gaahd rameen you dirty ho for seducing my becharae shareef cousin, I'm going to kill you *slap slap slap
That's mummy ji's cue for giving further bad advice to Rameen.

Thankfully few episodes later mummy takes my advice, has a stroke and dies. Good riddance.
Manaal the blind wife throws her own sister out of the house for keechar uchaalofying on her precious doodh se dhula husband ka shaffaf character. While Azar turns into a douchey Devdaas by drinking, picking up women from street corners and coming home to cry and beat up Rameen.

So far all I've learnt from this drama is that men are jerks and can't be trusted. The only exception is your dad. Even Numair the creepy, rapist brother in law, lying husband and manipulative cousin is a great, over protective father to his own daughter.

Sorry, this was supposed to be an episode review, but once i started the recap i couldn't stop without pointing out all the idiocies in this drama first.  So our lucky three readers (my sisters and someone from Canada) will get reviews for last week and this weeks episode together. Yay!
