Sadqay Tumharay - Episode 7 - 12

Welcome to my second installment of Sadqay Tumharay (venting) session. It took me practically 8 episodes worth of frustrated Whatassp texts to my bestie N here, before she admitted that she had been (kind of) following the drama and had not recommended it to me because she thought I might react this way.

*Sigh* Anyway. Since I completed 6 episodes last review, I decided to complete another 6. Plus, the entry in episode 12 of an actor I can't stand was the final nail in the coffin for me to abandon this drama. More on that at the end...

So, let's start this with continuing on my list of "Why Shano is so Awesome."

9 - She can do marham patti in the dark #FlorenceNightingalePartTwo
10 - She can also study in the dark.

11 - Tangay wala baba loves her. Woh sub se achi hei. 

12 - She has good taste in men (source: tangay walay baba)

13 - She has a high standard of good hygiene. 

 ....Coming back to episode 7: Shano has been beaten mercilessly by her mom, and now is forbidden visitors. So Shano's best friend convinces Molvi Sahab to go and make sure she's either really, really, sick or really, really not. When Molvi Sahab insists on seeing Shano, mom forces her to pretend to be sick.

Chalo Ji. Ab molvi Sahab se jhoot bhi bola jaayega!

Cos Khalil - by some mysterious forces, knows exactly what happened to Shano. #What

Just like Shano knows exactly what Khalil is up to. 

There is way too much voo-doo going on here...

Molvi Sahab se pooch kar dargaah pe ja rahi hein...? Really? Yaar itni Islamiat tu mujhe tak aati hei ke this is not ok.

Khalil tries to be Salman Khan. Well, half-Salman Khan, cos Salman bhai tu sari shirts aur undershirts phardh kar utaar dete hein. #Amateur

Yeah, seriously - why is khala so concerned if Khalil got beat up? Shouldn't she be doing a happy dance?

Khalil needs to work on being more subtle. What's with all these goofy smiles aimed at Shano? Again #Amateur

Us zamanei mein aisi darian koun banata tha? Can someone do a historical accuracy check here?

The curious case of Khalil's ever changing injuries....

Andheray mein parhaee kar ke top karaingi yeh dono geniuses.

Khalil's career he means. Ab mujhe koi bataaye ke yeh kounsa career hei? All he does is play cricket and visit Shano.

How many times am I supposed to be blown away by Shano's performance of the same song? 

The EXACT moment I decided to abandon the rest of this drama.

Isko koun kamina cast kar leta hei? 

In conclusion - would I recommend this drama? Well - depends. If you like Mahira Khan, if you don't mind long drawn out scenes, some repetition, and don't wince every time a character says 'kamina,' you could give it a whirl. For me, I think I'll stick to the other offerings, since I don't care for any of the above.
