Zid - Episodes 1 to 4

So today I decided to catch up on all the dramas that have started but I haven't watched them. I chose to begin with Zid because it has only aired 4 episodes, so it would be the fastest to catch up with. And because Ahsan Khan is the male lead, and if nothing else he has his signature lovey-dovey look that I could write a while blog on all in itself. (Snap shots of that to follow)

Overall the drama is moving at a good pace. It's a well made package and there is little to complain about. But I've managed to gather a few items. Darlings tere leeaye ;)

Annoying best friend that contributes nothing but cheapness and bad acting - check.

I'm pretty sure this is being done with very bad posture. Also, placement of heavy weights in an area that endangers chances of fathering his future progeny.

Beta Shanakth khatam ho gaya. Now you are Saman in Zid.
Maya Ali is ok - her lisp is a bit annoying for this character. But, I've enjoyed seeing her grow as an actor, and I think she's doing a fair job here.

Annoying least favorite couple, with plenty of forced-romantic moments - check.

I'm not sure how I feel about her getting married when she obviously still snuggles with stuffed animals...

If you're like me, after countless Ahsan Khan dramas, and infinite looks like these, you still don't know if this look makes you feel:
OR
I guess until I don't figure it out, I'll continue to pretend to gag on the outside, but inside be like heeyyyy

ANYWAY - Coming back to the drama...
Huma Nawab is much better as a perky, happy mom than a bitter one. #Mehram
Her wardrobe leaves MUCH to be desired however.

No one in their right mind would sleep in a Ferrari polo. Unless it was one they got from Sunday Market. In Landhi.

Appo - the comic releif. She was funny but her stories of 'Humaray zamanay mein...' were a bit much.

I had this haircut in college. I called it my ping-pong-head haircut cos the body was just way too much for my face. As it is here.

#Speechless at this dulhan ka kamra. Checkout the 'target' above the dressing table.

In conclusion - this doesn't prove to be a snapshot-fest Bikhra Mera Naseeb, so I don't anticipate writing much about it. Heartbreaking, I know. But it does appear to be a watchable drama that will have it's fair share of good twists and turns. (Someone I know was on the production team, and every project she has worked on has been a good watch, so my hopes are high.) I'm guessing the drama is going to be the story of how Saman let's go of her zids and finally falls for Omar, who seems like a decent enough guy. But with two other females on the cover shot, you know nothing will be as smooth as it should be.

But we'll be happy to be along for the ride!

After we get over the painful OST - heina?
