So now, Saira is NOT happy. She can't beleive Saqib would actually fall for Shafaq. In spite of the fact that she has a new (supposedly - more on this later) rich beau, she decides to destroy Saqib and Shafaq's marital bliss by calling Shafaq and telling her everything. And this is where we find ourselves at the beginning of this episode: Shafaq reacting to Saira's truths.
For someone who might die if she is made unhappy, Shafaq seems to be dealing well with her pain and rage. I thought she was supposed to drop dead if she was ever given a sadma. But this energizer bunny seems to keep going...and going...and going...
Holey moley. Keep yourself together woman!
Poor Saqib. He's genuinely in love with Shafaq. You would think the mom would be like, ' Saqib loves you! He refused to take the money!' But nope. Mom is too busy smearing her mascara to back poor homeboy up.
1 - I work for an ultra rich guy who treats me like a son and gives me a new car or a new apartment for gifts.
2 - I can't marry you until I get my boss' permission.
I'm guessing this idiot is like the boss' mali or chaukidaar that has decided to play with his boss' toys while boss is out of the country.
You just destroyed poor Saqib and Shafaq's life. The two people that were actually genuine with you. And the two people YOU threw together. Sukoon kahaan aaye ga ab?
And then a whole conversation ensues where Saira feels somewhat guilty and Mr. Shady-Extremis tells her she's right and justified.
Even mom isn't being spared from facing Shafaq's rage. Which serves her right. Cos she can't seem to bring herself to tell Shafaq the entire truth. Example as follows:
Really? 'Saqib nei tumhein dhoka nahi deea - us nei jaidad leine se mana kar deea hei!' Kehnei mein kia zubaan ghiss jati?
Ohhhkay. Here is where everything started to go haywire - and not in any good sense. The remaining of the episode seemed like a weird kichri of events, which lacked transition or fluency. Don't beleive me? I will happily recap.
Shafaq comes back from the hospital hale and hearty. Zero explanation given about what happened to her - you would think it was serious cos blood was dripping from her mouth. Anyway, everyone comes clean and Shafaq seems to forgive mom and Saqib after lengthy monologues.
Boss calls - he's coming parsoon and these two losers can get married then. Really, why aren't all kinds of alarm bells going off for Saira??
Shafaq cries over why Saira is ruining her life and curses her to never be happy in life. Saqib simply says don't worry, qismat is a b**** and she'll get what she deserves.
Saira calls to tell Saqib she's getting married. Why did she screw up his life? Because he dared to fall in love with Shafaq. Duh.
Saqib decides he's gonna go shoot Saira. Shafaq talks him out of it. One scene ago Saqib was telling Shafaq that let qismat do it's thing. Now Shafaq is telling Saqib let qismat do it's thing. It's these kind of inconsistencies in dramas that make you want to bang your head on a wall. repeatedly.
Creepster is taking Saira to his place (in the middle of the night?) cos they're getting married (one assumes parsoon). But why is she going now after living by herself for at least a few weeks? Your guess is as good as mine.
Look at how he is eyeing her. Like a hyena eyeballs a baby deer.

Shafaq wakes up from a nightmare and she and Saqib have a talk about love, mortality, her gintee ki sansain, and her dying wish to be able to die in his arms.
This is me. Right now. What happened to my drama??
Thing is, when they released promos of this drama and shared it's based on the same name based Pakistani movie, I had no choice but to watch the movie so I would know what I was getting in to. For me, what happens in the end isn't important. It's how they get there. It's why I read romance novels: the hero always gets the girl, but how they get each other, that's the fun part.
Anyway - up until the recent episodes they had stayed pretty true to the movie. With the entrance of Farooq (Shady-Extremis) the drama has taken some unexpected turns. And honestly, it looks like Saira will pay more dearly in the drama than she did in the movie. I just hope I don't get another hodge-podge episode.
I'm looking at you Ahsan Khan aka co-director of this drama.

For those of you who may wish to watch the movie, it stars Barbara Sharif and Rahat Kazmi - and I totally snap-shot the heck out of it when I watched it because cinema back then was pure gold: the actors, the costumes, the appropriate back-up dancers...I absolutely recommend it! I watched it on YouTube, but I'll bet you can find it elsewhere online too. Happy watching!
