Garr Maan Reh Jaaye - Episode 22

It's Monday! And that means another episode of my favorite mistake!

I'm glad SOMEONE remembers what Ahsan did to Asma. For all the good that seems to be doing anyone.

So Mr. Namazi is the embodiment of a lot of what is happening in the news these days - he reiterates his 'iman' and now he needs a 'pak' wife -- after making another woman 'na-pak'. On a slap-o-meter, he'd be a pretty high 9 right now...

Really Asma? Still blaming everyone else for the bad choices you made. Tsk tsk

By no means am I supporting Nissa - but seriously? She has the audacity to tell Asma that Asma 'moon kala kar kay' wapis aa gaee hei? Ahem, weren't you the one who got divorced within hours of your marriage??

Oh for heavens sake. Fine, Asma ran away. But it's all Ahsan's fault. Why doesn't Farukh haul his sorry ass to jail? This is Pakistan. He doesn't need a reason.

Doesn't he have a job to go to? A home to go to?

Allah maaf karay...I don't see how people are up in arms on how a Hollywood created show portrays Pakistan and Pakistanis (Homeland) when our own dramas are such a weird warped reality. Has Nissa even lived out her iddat? And now Farukh is all, 'Marry me now, marry me now.' And Ahsan is waiting in the wings after giving her a divorce (yelling it three times consecutively and then he sent her a typed up divorce too. Remember?) to remarry (or just resume living with??) her. 

Here's to hoping the sisters will get over their animosity and regroup in the next episode.

PS: Am I the only one wondering if Ahsan's err indiscretion is going to yield results in 9 months time?! #Horrified
