After a great climatic episode last week, I expected to see things evolve to come back and bite Zunaira in the butt. But finding out this was the last episode really snuck up on me! Will they be able to do justice to the story and will everyone get what they deserve? Let's find out...
Again mom is telling her son that Sania 'waisi' lardki nahi hei. We need more mils like these! I also like how Bilal keeps saying he hates Sania etc etc but you can tell he doesn't quite accept it because he is so torn. To me, it's obvious he isn't mopping over being disillusioned, he is broken up by what he has seen and by what he actually feels for Sania.
I think I smirked more at this scene because the promo gave away just how 'in love' this Romeo is with Zunaira....
Zunaira taking calls on her iPad again. Aur yeh itni mashriki kub se ho gaeen??
Jitnay bhi ameer ho jao, there will always be girls playing the dhool and singing Alamgir songs at the wedding. #PakistaniDramaLogic
The perfect look for your sister's wedding...(No alcohol required - I'm looking at you cast of Chup Raho)
I'll never be able to unsee this :/ #FireTheMakeUpGuy or #FireTheCameraMan?
Same time frame - different times. Zunaira is driving in the middle of the night. Sania is crying in the middle of the day. A little attention to detail here please.
Doctor Sahab, agar aap yahaan family jo update de rahay hein - with no sign of scrubs or operative gear - tu Zunaira ka operation aur ussei bacha nei ki KOUN koshish kar ra hei??
So Zunaira completely destroys her life - yet she is sitting here praying for her and forgiving her. For some characters, this would be odd. But for the meek and kind hearted Sania this seems totally in character.
Miracle! You can't use your legs - unless you have to cough. Then they can jerk and spasm any which way you want!
So Zunaira comes clean. And then does the worse acting of crying in the history of acting of crying.
Mom has this Aha! moment, but again, where some attention to detail is grievously left out (Zunaira's moving legs), in others it is amazing. Like when mom is horrified but then kisses her daughter in comfort after her confession.
Or like when Bilal let go of Zunaira's hand when he realizes the extent of her wrong doings. #Bravo
Saniya mein aa gaya! I even stopped to shave and change into my suave-husband clothes on the way!
Bilal: Yeh tumhara aakhiri faisla hei?
Saniya: Haan
Bilal: *turns to leave*
*Sigh* Kia yeh bhi tumhein sikhana parayga? This is the point that you grovel at her feet and tell her you love her and can't live without her. Gees.
Again, I think in a lot of situations this would be odd. But, it works beautifully here because in spite of everything her 'Madam' has done, Sania has always admired her. And finally the madam has lived up to everything she stood for in Sania's eyes.
And so Koi Deepak Ho comes to an end. I think a wonderful job was done paying attention to the details of the story - like the climax scene - even though some attention to detail (like is it day or night?) was lacking. Overall, I enjoyed this drama. It had some good twists, it had some good performances, and who doesn't love a Cinderella story?
Until next time...
