Jackson Heights - Episode 24

Let me just say - this was one awesome episode! So much went down this week, I almost want to apologize for watching this episode so late. I'm glad the drama is delivering right until the end. So let's take a look at the episode...

Awkward coffee get together of the year. More so for Jamshed then Rizwan and the clueless-Michelle. Look how happy she is in lala land...

Rizwan uses the opportunity to drive home that he's a reliable guy and his opinion about someone's character matters by sharing a story of a colleague who was duped by a girl into marriage just for an American passport. But don't worry. Michelle ke sar ke upar se har baath guzar gaee.

Later Jamshed tries to bribe Rizwan. Why don't people use a simple tool like the voice recorder on their phone to record conversations like these and expose the fraudsters in drama. Why go through all the extra steps and make things complicated.

Imaan has gone from my favourite character to most slap-worthy in the space of one episode.
Selfie ho toh aisi.

Salma Ji reminds sikander what a useless good for nothing dad he's been all of imaan's life. AGAIN.

Why are these two always  eating?
she's mothering him.
How old is Jamshed? 15? Michelle wants to lecture him on the dangers of smoking.

Wow. Anything that happens to Michelle, she totally deserves. Jamshed couldn't be more transparent if he tried.

Careful Wolverine...the lady fights back.
Finally we get to see a different side to michelle...yes she's being manipulated by Jamshed but she's no pushover. I hope she can be this strong when she finally finds out the truth.
Yeah. Seriously, Selma. Selma should be happy Sikandar is a changed man and taking an interest in HIS daughter. She can go to Pakistan knowing Iman will be with her BIOLOGICAL dad who LOVES her...

Oh Bhatti Sahab...tussi great ho! What a shocking difference between him and Jamshed: He has gone through years of struggling for the American passport and now stands disillusioned, whereas Jamshed is willing to do anything to get what he wants. But when Bhatti Sahab says - so matter of factly - that even if he can't come to the US, Selma is welcome to visit anytime...

Is there a correlation between Sikandar being all reformed and Sikandar not wearing tank tops anymore? #MissingTheBiceps #BringBackTheTanks
They're called wife beater vests and since he's no longer beating his wife..

Chalo ji - yahaan tu hatha paee shuroo ho gaee...

What the...what was that  all about? "When you want to shoot..." What? Shut up, Jamshed. Apne paindu accent mein lame, unrelated quotes na maro. #Loser

How can anyone watch these scenes without breaking down into tears? Nani - you better hang in there!! (Didn't know you could grunt responses in a coma...but for Bhatti Sahab, I shall strive to overlook this detail...)

And the gems keep coming from Bhatti Sahab...

so after that award winning performance from Wolverine...not only is Michelle convinced that Rizwan was sabotaging her love life...shes also eager to bring forward the wedding date.
What I want to do every time I see Michelle on screen...

When Salma says goodbye to imaan...sort of.

yeah after that response no amount of lip quivering, voice breaking and tears glistening in your eyes are going to make the audience feel sorry for you Jamshed.

Oh look - Michelle has competition for characters we hate - this little $%$*&^&*%^^$% here!
Iman - don't be your dad's daughter. Didn't Selma teach you anything??

  1. Jackson Heights is ending this week, hopefully Wolverine will get his just desserts :-)

Are you planning to review Mera Naam Yusuf Hai (you did say it was too cute to be true)? I am not so sure about tragedy king plus hero killer Khalil ur Rehman's script and heavy dose of urdu, but I will follow your reviews if you do them.
