Apologies for the massive delay this week for updates...but life, family and sicknesses got in the way. Really its my family, sickness and life, Shamsi has been on time with her bits (I want to take a bow...but really, her bits are SO funny. No one waits more impatiently for her to complete the post than me.). So apologies once again.
Enjoy last week's episode recap of alvida, while we get cracking on with this week.
Brave words from someone coming fresh out of the I'm-secretly-in-love-with-my-cousin fiasco...
Meanwhile the Ghareeb cousin is still fighting with her ghareeb boyfriend.
okay I'm done with these two and their fight...it was cute last week but complete waste of space in this episode.
Qaukab is giving Haya the kind of advice I've given to some of my freinds at some point in our lives. A little advice for you Kaukab (and anyone else with friend going through boy problems)...give up...let them wallow...they won't listen to you and just keep doing whatever they want. Save your breath and sanity.
OMG - Too much cuteness going on between these two *sigh*
soo much sweetness it was giving my cavities more cavities. blegh...just kill her off already so we can get to the good part. #Hater lol
Creepy McToucherson decides to pay his "sister" Haya a nocturnal visit.
okay not to take away from the creepiness of the situation...but how exactly does Haya know??she doesnt have a biological brother and she was in love with her cousin who treated her like a sister so...you've got no references Haya...I'm not saying you're not spot on in judging Creepy McToucherson though.
"But...but...meine tu sirf sar par haath phera tha!"
Faiz bhai gives the performance of his life.
why...what did you have in mind Faez Bhai??
Aadhi raath mein phone aaya hei and he puts her on SPEAKER? Why would you do that??Faiz bhai gives the performance of his life.
why...what did you have in mind Faez Bhai??
Hadi and Aroosa come back from their honeymoon and go the work the very same day. Hadi also insists that his mom come and help at the Hospital. You can tell how thrilled dad is at the prospect of seeing his wife at home and hospital.
And is there no other way of conveying Aroosa's Naek Parveen credentials without her wearing an ever receding dupatta on her head in front of her Saas and Susar who are also her Taayi and Taaya. Yeah - Whats up with this hair and dupatta placement styling going on? It's like she can't decide: naughty or nice :P
More incredible cuteness from these two. Awwwww The cutest scene was when Aroosa suggested the nurses start calling Hadi, Doctor HS and he nips that in the bud. #TeamHadYa
You know what makes Alvida different? Unlike other dramas that center around gharelo maslay, they brought the whole family to a hospital to address gharelo maslay. I mean, is his wife and mom a doctor too? Why are they here?
Now, I get why Haya hates the Taayi so much. So what if Hadi had gotten angry and broken a few bones and forcibly gotten Haya home. You would have told him if Haya was your own daughter. You wouldn't have been so nonchalant about your own daughter's safety in a stranger's home. For that reason, what happens next with Haya is partly your fault too. I'm looking at you Taayi ji.
Haya tries to mend her "mistake" by cooking for Faez bhai and Qaukab.
There's no comparison. If Imran Abbass said no to me, I'd totally hit on Kokub's Mr. Irresistible too #gag
you knew this about him...and you still agreed to marry ?!
Also - don't think I didn't notice some weird time lapses going on here. In Haya's world, it's still the same day. In Hadi's house, they came back from their European honeymoon, went to work, found out they were pregnant, and had people coming by to congratulate them. Hadi ki leeaye time mein bari barkat hei...
hello Super doctor
Awesomeee review :)
ReplyDeleteN, hope you are feeling better - kahin Mehram ka overdose se toh nahi beemaar ho gayin aap? :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for Alvida review - really good! More stuff happening in episode 6, with the return of our very own Mehram guy in a spooky avatar (as if he wasn't spooky enough in Mehram, eh?)!
By the way - diva ratings for Alvida? :-)
Thanks POPO and Vee
ReplyDeleteomg it was definitely a mehram overload. And Shamsi suggested we start watching that Ayesha Khan, Jibran Syed drama thats due to replace Jackson Heights on Urdu1. Abhi toh dono se Chup Raho and Mehram se chutkara mila hai and she wants us to watch one with both of them...together. No please No.
No no - I totally take it back. It looks like another dosari biwi type saga. Gross.
