Chupke Se Bahar Aajaye - Last Episode

Raise your hand if you're ready to see this drama end...

Blood thirsty. The whole lot of us. Lol.

Now, if they could do it without having to do an actual scene with Shafaq passing away, that would have been great. But, nope, I had to sit through the opening 4 minutes like this:

After way too many  episodes of Shafaq whinning about dying, with her full head of hair and a foot-thick layer of make up (cancer patient...come on now...), I feel unashamed in admitting I am really ready to wave bye to Shafaq. But, in her honor, let's take a few seconds to recap how she finally left. (All bets are off on long, painful Shafaq flashbacks though. Those we will probably have to endure quite a few of...)

So Shafaq has her baby girl and then promptly goes into a coma.

Here's the (3 month old) baby girl. Apparently, casting for newly born infants must really be impossible... #CastingIssues

Miracle of miracles - Shafaq wakes up for two seconds to pat her baby on the head and vaguely point to someone (something), before she finally calls it quits.

Apparently, after counting for days, Saira is still shocked Shafaq actually died.

If everyone is busy having flashbacks, who is taking care of the baby? You know - the one Shafaq died to give birth to??

Saira is FINALLY going to join her sister Maira...

Shafaq leaves a long ass video asking Saira and Saqib to get married.

Never say never...

Mom is like a dog with a bone.

*Sigh*
To say the final episode was a disappointment would be the understatement of the century. I don't quite understand why the writers decided to drift so far off the original (i.e. the movie) that the story just veered from nonsensical to absurd. It was so off track, that bringing it back within 17 minutes (35 minutes total episode minus 14 minute Shafaq flashback minus 4 minutes it took for Shafaq to die) was impossible and really - after the constant antipathy Saqib showed Saira, why would he finally agree to marry her? I wouldn't have let her within a 10 mile radius of my child.

Nothing is worse then investing 20 plus (in this case 20 exactly) weeks, to have to end on this note. Let's hope it's replacement (Mera Naam Yousuf Hai with Imran Abbas) will fare better...
