Mein Bushra - Last Episode

Yay! Finally, we have come to the final episode of this drama. Koi shak tha, tu neechay please see bara bara written: LAST EPISODE.

Bushra is back home and has decided to tell her family the truth...or, well, some of it. Like Faraz divorced her shadi ki raath ko...

Mommy dearest, who has been sleepless for the past 3 episodes - Bushra mujh se kuch chupa rahi hei, Bushra mujh se kuch chupa rahi hei -  goes into obvious denial when confronted with the truth.

Are you SURE that's ALL you have to tell her Bushra? Hmmm....?

Aba hears everything. #PoignantMoment

And then decides to take a nap...? #WTH

This mildly heart-string touching scene, where no one admits their mistakes, but cries together at the atrocities the others had to go through because of them. #FinaleMust

Next thing you know - Mom decides to confront Bushra's in-laws. Pehlay baki ki kahani tu sun leteen Bushra se...

Look at that smugness. All that talk about keemat, udhaar, azala, mamta... 

Really - why didn't Bushra tell her family she married Shayan? Matlab aik betay nei divorce di, tu she married the other and is living a cushy life as an ameer- tareen bahu. Phir kia masla tha?

Just sayin...

While everyone was sitting tight in Karachi, Faraz was still in NYC fighting for his life. I understand he was a douche - but I don't understand how no one  from the family rushed to be by his side when he was obviously in a critical condition. Too late now...

...annnnd we have to listen to yet another fuzool conversation between these two...

...Yeh itna kion ro rahi hei?

So Bushra comes back. More crying and heartfelt words ensue.

At this point, I'm just like how do they plan to wrap this up in 12 minutes...? But, it's a Pakistani drama, so I have faith.

The moment arrives for these two to have a heart to heart. Thankfully, we are saved more encounters because Saniya has decided to give up the fight and go back with (most of) her dignity intact.

Is anyone but me wondering why people keep changing their clothes? I counted two wardrobe changes for Aunty, Saniya and Bushra and THREE wardrobe changes for Shayan.

Actually - I don't think Tim Gunn would be so nice. WHY IS BUSHRA DRESSED LIKE A SUNNY SIDE UP EGG FOR THE FINAL SCENE? And that too, in a horrible fitted shirt? Kameez? Pajamas? WHAT IS SHE WEARING?

Bhai ko marray huay aik din hua hei, aur yahaan romance chal ra hei. So, basically, Faraz just had to die so that Bushra and Shayan could be saved the embarrassment of explaining how Faraz divorced her, and Shayan married her?

To say the final episode was a disappointment would be an understatement. The climax of this drama - Faraz divorcing her and then Bushra finding out her parents took money from her in-laws - was the best thing that happened to this drama. But, like many victims before, the writers gave it this huge twist and then didn't know how to see it to the end.

RIP Mein Bushra. I can't honestly say you will be missed.

Mein Bushra - Episode 20

The episode opens with this - which is exactly where we left it...

Ami Ji is STILL confused. Seriously - how many episodes will it take??

Mr. Penny-Pincher all of a sudden decides to banto-fy mithaee to everyone. Cos he had a grandson. #BigAcheivement 

Let's take it down a notch there friend. Please. 

Meanwhile in Shayan-land...

You find your 'jaythani' crying in the arms of your fiancé and this is the best line you come up with? 

Shayan - you really need to start locking your bedroom door. Jisko dekho moon utha kar chala aata hei...

Why is she STILL talking?

I want an efficient Ruqaiyya Apa in my life...

Did she toss and turn her way to Bushra's side of the bed?

Saniya seems oblivious to her mom's critical condition. All she can think of is her upcoming nuptials. Hello - you know your parents dragged you to Pakistan because they want to see you hitched before your mom dies. And yet, all this over-ness. 

WAIT A MINUTE...

THE MOMENT YOU REALIZE MEIN BUSHRA AND MEHRAM HAVE THE SAME STORYLINE...

Mein Bushra - Episode 19

So the episode opens with Bushra deciding she is in love with Shayan. They show her thinking of their late night scene - but I can't help but wonder why this thunder bolt comes down after she finds out he is signing away all his wealth to her. Is that really the surest sign of love?

Aunty tells her to come down to nashta. Bushra goes to work and then imagines Shayan at home. And then...

Aunty gets all excited to see Shayan and is inviting him to breakfast? So were the Bushra-inbetween-sequences a dream?

Ummm anyway - not like we will be able to solve THAT riddle any time soon - Shayan comes home to an in-love-with-him Bushra. 

Bravo!! Finally! We have two people acknowledging their love for one another without any cheesiness! What a wonderfully shot scene. And these two make a great onscreen couple. #100%Approve

Musa Bhai is NOT happy...

Betay kay farz se farigh ho kay, Aunty Allah ki raah mein nikal pareen.

More tasteful romance. *two thumbs up*

We all saw this dupatta change occur. Right? Right?

No city is more beautiful than Karachi in a drama!

So, again, this drama continues it a steady pace. Next episode we will finally see the Shayan and Saniya showdown and resolution (hopefully). Looks like we MAY be nearing the end folks...
