Firaaq FINALLY wrapped up and I'm sure I'm not the only one who lost interest after the appearances of Haider and Tabbasum came to a conclusion. Quite frankly, if the drama was about Imroze and Paiman, I don't feel the writer did justice to either character. For a psychologist, Imroze showed no understanding of human nature (eaves dropping on conversations...really??) and poor Paiman couldn't make up her mind - to leave or not to leave, that was ALWAYS her question...
So here were my thoughts out loud watching the final episode... (and a few snippets from me too)
So there you have it. Did I enjoy this drama? Sure, it had twists and turns and you always wanted to know what would happen next. But would I watch it again (which is my measuring scale of how good a drama really was), I'm pretty sure I wouldn't. Through out the whole drama it felt like you were watching a hogde-podge of story lines and quite frankly I found Sanam Saeed's monologues quite a bit (read: very) boring.
Apparently Firaaq is being replaced by (yet another) dosari biwi drama...tell me it isn't so! Yaayy! Can't wait.

You screwed up, she's hopping mad at you -- and you are going to tell HER how to make chai? Kounsi fake university se psychology pardhi hei is nei aakhir? Probably this one |
Wait - so he was so stressed he started to exhibit 'cancer' symptoms? *Sigh* Do writers even consider getting a professional to validate their claims? |
His explanation almost makes sense...I feel convinced...? |
yeah...me too, totally convinced |
The only good thing about Hareem's character, is Hira being able to prove she can do characters that aren't always over the top. Bravo Hira. |
Chalo. Another self-sacrifice. *Sigh* |
To resolve the issues, everyone sits down to tea...Because that's totally normal behavior in this situation. |
Then Imroze - the failure of a psychologist - ki dil ki baath zubaan par aa he gaee, "Let's just all live together my darlings." #DoBiwiSyndrome |
Do I even need to comment on this kid's monologue? |
And Paiman and Imroze continue to talk. Inki love story kissi tarhaan khatam nahi ho pa rahee. Ufff... |
Bhaago Imroze bhaago! 3 minutes is plenty of time to rush to the airport, chase her down to the boarding gate, stop her plane, beg for forgiveness, confess your eternal devotion, and hug and make up! |
Array haan....Yeh bhi tu thay dramay mein. (Never did figure out why Sara was desperate to marry Paiman off to Roomi. She tried like twice. I feel like I deserve to know why....just saying.) |
Wait - what? Roomi - the only good guy in this whole drama - ends up alone? Yeh kahaan ka insaaf hei? (Psst...Roomi, Hareem is available...) |

Just read your review after all these years, and couldn't help commenting back as i agree with all your points 100%..lol....so did Paiman get back with Imroze or did she leave finally?๐๐
ReplyDeleteAbout the second last one, Sara wanted Paiman to marry Roomi because she was a patient of Ambrose before she met him and feared that Ambrose will tell her secrets to Paiman which then later tell to her brother Brother and that wouldve sabotaged her marriage. Btw i ended watching the whole series like 5 mins ago XD
